Loan Application Information
The following is a list of information and documentation you may need when applying for a loan:
- Copy of accepted Earnest Money Contract.
- Copy of social security card and Texas driver's license.
- Residence addresses for the past seven years.
- Name and address of all employers for the previous two years, plus W-2s, 1099s, etc.
- Two to three most recent pay stubs showing gross monthly salary plus any deductions.
- Names, addresses, account numbers, and balances of all checking and savings accounts.
- Three to four most recent bank, investment and retirement planning account statements.
- Names, addresses, account numbers, and balances of all active credit accounts.
- Addresses, loan information and lease agreements on any other real estate that you own.
- An estimated value of all personal property.
- Face value and cash value of any life insurance policies, retirement accounts, and profit-sharing accounts.
- Certificate of Eligibility, DD 214, and/or Statement of Service when applying for a VA loan.
- Be prepared to pay up front for the credit application, and for an appraisal on the property you ultimately decide to purchase.
- When self-employed, you will need to provide at least the previous two years of tax returns.
